As a former primary school teacher and educational consultant, I am always happy to visit schools and use my teaching experience to promote poetry. I can lead assemblies and workshops and can tailor the content of the workshops based on current curriculum learning or simply deliver them as standalone sessions.

Workshops are delivered in groups no larger than a class size and children tend to work in pairs and then independently to create a group poem or poems on a group theme. For children in KS1, workshops need to last at least 45 minutes and for those in KS2, workshops need to last at least an hour. If performance is part of the session then an additional 15 minutes is useful for this.

Travel costs will also be charged at 45p per mile for schools more than 10 miles away from me.
